Statistics 4.5 million people. Size of California. Over 800 unique tribal languages. Favorite activity is sitting/standing around doing nothing. They also like to light fires, ostensibly to make hunting easier by driving animals out of the bush. During my 6-week stay, 3 houses in a nearby village burned down, each on a separate occassion.
	Payback These tribesmen are all dressed up for a "payback". They are on their way to thank a neighboring village for helping them during a recent tribal war. Paying-back for favors is an extremely important part of PNG culture.
	15 minutes of fame We The PNG people are very friendly and curious. Just break into song and you'll attract large crowds of fans.
