Mark and Lapun Thomas
Lapun ThomasWe had an extremely interesting Q&A time with Mark and Lapun "Old Man" Thomas of the Iwam tribe. They described marriage customs, cannibalism etc. If you ever need to cook a forearm, talk to me first.

After they had answered our questions, they got a chance to ask us questions. Their question: "After you've heard and seen what the Gospel has done for us, what are you going to do about it?"

Letter from Anu tribe

Anu village
Via Green River
Sandaun Province
4th October, 1995

Dear Barnet Iott,

I want to talk to you again in a letter about the following: Please can you come to Anu or not? We are really short of God's talk. So we want you to come and tell us about God's talk in our own language. If you don't have anything else to do, or if you want to learn another language please you must come to Anu and learn our language. So we have worked hard on an airstrip because we want to get a missionary. So our airstrip is 600 meters long. We have finished 450 meters and only have 150 to go before it is finished. How can we stay without God's words? If a missionary doesn't come and one of our men or women die, what will happen to them? WIll they go to heaven? Please can you come to Anu village?

Please reply to my letter.

Yours faithfully,
