Menu Options

File - Load, Close, Print or Create a Data Set.

  • Open - Read in a 2D file in HDF Vset File Format
  • Create 1D Cross Section - By dragging the first mouse bubon,
the user places a vertical line on the image at the point at
which the cross section is desired. (More)
  • Close - Close the current data set.
  • Print - Print the current image data to the default printer
the data that is printed is stored in the IPlot directory
    in a file called .ipl.iplot.ps
  • Quit - Quit IPlot
  • Plot - Change what is being plotted
  • Plot Geometry - Toggles between plotting and hiding the Geometry information
  • Plot Mesh - Toggles between plotting and hiding the Mesh information.
  • Plot Contours - Toggles between plotting and hiding the defined contour lines (How do I define a contour line?)
  • Plot Node - Toggles between plotting and hiding the Mesh Nodes. The user can see the raw data at the nodes by clicking the left mouse button.
    (Show Me)
  • Grid Lines - Toggles between plotting and hiding Grid
  • Add/Remove Contour - Lets the user define a new contour line, or delete a previously defined contour. (More)
  • Options - Change how the data is being plotted
  • Grid Spacing and Scale - Change the size of the spacing between the grid values along the x and y axes. For 1D Cross Section plots, the user can also switch between linear and log scales.
  • Color/Black and White - Lets the user switch between black and white and 16 Color Mode. Could be useful for printing, although at current state, isn't very good.
  • Labels - Edit/Hide any of the labels (text) around the graph
  • Title - Change the title (for no title, enter NULL)
  • X-Axis - Change x-axis label (for no label, enter NULL)
  • Y-Axis - Change y-axis label (for no label, enter NULL)
  • Show Values - Toggles between showing and hiding the values along the axes.
  • Show Region Legend - Toggles between showing and hiding the region legend. In 1D plots, the region legend also includes the color bar along the x-axis.
  • Show Contour Legend - Toggles between showing and hiding the contour legend
  • Windows - The user selects whichever data set he wishes to see displayed
