My work focuses on developing CAD tools for Radiation-Hardened (RadHard) circuits, with
particular emphasis on guard ring structures and latchup effects. The vision is to create a
tool that encapsulates the entire process flow of a RadHard circuit, from design to
fabrication. This project aims to eliminate the need for device simulation in RadHard design by
reproducing similar results using Spice models. One application being investigated right now is
using Spice models to quantify the effects of guard ring structures on preventing
radiation-induced latchup.
