Private Life (Jung-Suk Goo)

My Private Life

I was born in Seoul as the only boy among five children.
I was in a photo club when I was going to the high school and
I still love taking
photos, especially snap shots. I began my photographic life with Canon G-III,
a range-finder style compact camera, that my dad presented me.
After the college graduation I purchased
Nikon FM-2, a
full-manual SLR (Single Lens Reflex) camera, with some accessories and
lenses. They certainly took the first place in my asset list and
I loved them so much.
But someday a disaster happened. My younger sister lost them all! Was I sad ?
Oh, you bet. My poor sister was so frightened that she couldn't tell me.
After several days, she left a letter on my desk while I was sleeping.
She asked if I could forgive her and wait until she earned enough money.
Guess what I did to her. Your imagination maybe right.
I had to agonize for such a long time whether to buy another one or not.
Finally I decided to buy another camera and purchased Contax 167MT, which I'm currently using.
It consists of a Kyocera body and a
Carl Zeiss T* lens
. I truely love the
sharpness of the legendary Carl Zeiss, which is also used in Hasselblad, the best camera in the world.
The greatest thing in my life was and is and will remain meeting
Christ Jesus. Even though I went to the church for a short period when
I was going to the elementary school, I was superficial about the
Christianity. When I was in 11th grade, a friend of mine
urged me to go to the chruch, so I began going to YoungNak Presbyterian Church.
Rev. DongHo Kim was preaching in the Youth Ministry of that church at that time.
His sermons were greatly impressive and I was so moved! He had such a heart
for lost spirits. Sometimes he had to stop preaching and weep...
He is now serving as the the chief pastor of
God's Will Soongeui Church. I still miss his sermons.
When I was a sophomore in college, I realized that I couldn't live
happily with any other except Christ Jesus and accepted Him as my
Savior. He has fulfilled my life and never ever made me disappointed.
My marriage is also one of the greatest thing. My wife,
Inseong, and
I were working in the same building. My wife was an engineer of LG Electronics
and I of LG Semicon. We met each other by the introduction of a friend and got
married on July 1, 1995 at YoungNak Presbiterian Church.
I truely believe that she is my rib.
And finally my sons -- Timothy (Gyoungwan) and Philip (Jinwan) -- were
born to us at 3:05pm on January 7, 1997 and 7:30am on July 12, 2004,
respectively. You know what it likes raising kids -- sweet and sweat ^_^.
