-maxSpatialAdaptiveSteps maxValue

Specifies that spatial adaptation is to be done. maxValue is the maximum permissible times the mesh will be adapted. (This is OK for static problems. The behavior is undefined for transient problems, as of now. ) maxValue has to be specified. There is no default value.

Remember that spatial adaptation can be done only if you are using the -interface command and not the -astructure, -sstructure series of commands. Moreover the mesh interface should have the capabilities of adapting the mesh.
