Amit Agarwal

Amit Agarwal received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India in April 1990 and an M.S. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Missouri at Rolla, MO in August 1992. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Stanford University in Mechanical Engineering (Applied Mechanics).

His areas of interest include computational mechanics, finite element analysis, numerical analysis, composite materials, smart materials and fracture mechanics. Currently he is working on error estimation and adaptive refinement strategies in the solution of the hydrodynamic equations for semiconductor devices. He is member of Tau Beta Pai and ASME. His hobbies include Volleyball, Tennis, Travel and Reading.
